Marching Marionette
Project Description
An experiment in physical computation, the Marching Marionette marches inside a cardboard box and turns left and right with the press of a button. Two servo motors control its movement. One motor is attached to strings that are tied to the marionette’s arms and legs. Pressing the large red button turns the motor on – as the motor rotates back and forth, the arms and legs begin to march. The second motor is controlled by 2 smaller buttons. Pressing one button rotates the marionette’s body to the left, pressing the other moves it to the right.
Technology: Arduino, servo motors, marionette, cardboard box, a bunch of wires, some string.
