Cannabis Compass

Client: Leading laboratory in cannabis research

Technology: Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Adobe Creative Suite

Project Description

A leading laboratory in the cannabis industry sought my studio’s expertise in designing an application that would track how the consumption of specific cannabis products affected individuals.

We created a mobile web app, delivered as an Adobe XD prototype, that allowed patients to track their memory, reaction time, time perception, stress and anxiety levels after consuming cannabis. The resulting data was then used by the lab, doctors, and dispensaries to help further the evolving research on cannabis.

Project Contribution:

Content strategy

Laid the foundation for a digital experience roadmap for a product for cannabis consumers as well as the doctors and researchers studying the effects of cannabis.

User flows / User scenarios

Identified user, business and research objectives and created flows to ensure the application was able to achieve all project goals.

Information Architecture

Created the application map that visualized the locations and actions users go through to complete a “session”. This included the architectural scheme and information structures, features and functionality of the app.

Wireframes & Prototype

Designed a comprehensive user experience by creating the full set of project wireframes. An Adobe XD prototype was deliverable and used to finalize decisions between all team members, including designers, developers, and stakeholders.

Prototype Mockups

This prototype reflects a light style guide. A full visual design treatment was not included in this round of design.
